Launched 75 years ago the Maserati A6 1500 has over the years transformed itself into today’s GranTurismo coupe offering an elevated level of performance and comfortable long distance travel in a true sports car.

This model is taking the house of Trident forward into the future being the first car in the brand to adopt 100% electric powertrain.

From an exterior point of view the GranTurismo is immediately recognisable as a Maserati with its balance between beauty and functionality. The usual long bonnet, roof line dropping dramatically to emphasise the curve of the pillar that features the iconic Trident logo. 100% made in Italy, the new model epitomises “Italian Luxury” and performance, expected from this marque.

The new coupe is equipped with the revolutionary V6 Nettuno engine, available in two versions, the Modena with the 490-hp, 3-litre V6 Twin Turbo or the Trofeo version which is based on the same engine upgraded to a maximum power of 550-hp. Alternatively the GranTurismo Folgore adopts a 100% electric battery-based powertrain constructed on 800- volt technology developed from Formula E technology. The battery has a nominal capacity of 92.5 kWh and a discharge capacity of 560 kW to continuously transmit around 760-hp to the wheels.

To offset the weight of the battery packs Maserati has used innovated lightweight materials in the cars structure such as aluminium and magnesium together with high-performance steel resulting in best-in-class weight levels.

The interior has a modern cabin equipped with innovated systems including the Maserati Intelligent Assistant, Multimedia system, the latest infotainment with touchscreen interface. All round sound system with 19 speakers and 3D sound with an output of up to 1,195W for utterly unique sound.

A very exclusive model, the new GranTurismo combines spots performance and long distance comfort along with the iconic growl from the performance engine and exhaust system. The 100% electric solution represents a benchmark in this segment.
