Mitsubishi South Africa has taken a decision to extend Warranties and Service Plans by 21 days to accommodate the national lockdown.
- Manufacturer Warranty of 3 years extended by 21 days
- 5-year Service/Maintenance Plan extended by 21 days
- Parts and workmanship Warranties extended by 21 days
Mitsubishi Motors is one company which is doing its part to help fight the impact on the Covid-19 pandemic. All their dealerships, workshops and service centres in SA will be closed for the duration of the lockdown (26 th March 2020 to 17 th April 2020) following South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement. However this could be an issue for Mitsubishi owners who need to have their vehicles serviced during this time especially those that are coming to the end of their vehicles original warranty and can’t have them serviced during the lockdown period. To compensate for owners in this situation Mitsubishi SA has extended all active Manufacturing Warranties by 21 days to allow owners to have their vehicles serviced or repaired as per the original policy document.
This also covers the 5-year service/maintenance plan provided that the maximum covered odometer distance has not been reached and all required maintenance and services have been done at accredited MMSA outlets and are up to date.
“If the limit has been reached during the lockdown, each case will be considered on its own merit” says Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors SA (MMSA)
Thank you to Mitsubishi SA for this gesture which demonstrates the safety of your customers is important to your company.
*All MMSA dealerships, workshops, and Service centres will be closed from Friday 27 th March 2020 for 21 days and reopen on Friday 17 th April 2020 depending on confirmation from the government.
