If the time has arrived to try a fully electric car, moving away from the conventional combustion engine, this maybe the right vehicle to offer you that opportunity.

The new flagship luxury SUV all-electric Volvo EX90 will be arriving in South Africa before the end of the first half of 2025. Not only is this the safest Volvo ever built, but it will take you from 0 to 100km/h in only 4.9 seconds, a similar time to many  expensive sports cars. The EX90 delivers an impressive 380 kW of power and 910 Nm of torque ensuring a smooth powerful performance.

For those eager to get into the full electric driven market but still want the luxuries of space, and modern interior and exterior styling this vehicle must be up for consideration.

Sensors on electric successor to XC90 – LiDAR

Safety first which has always been part of Volvo’s DNA is offered by creating an invisible shield combining advanced sensing technology which includes 3D cameras, radars, and LiDAR to protect the vehicles occupants and fellow road users.

A single charge will take you 751km on road trips and 604km in city/urban driving. The 111 kWh battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a 250 kW DC fast charger, ensuring minimal downtime during journeys.

The last factor to consider is the commitment Volvo has for moving its vehicles in the all-electric direction and its commitment to only produce all-electric, plug-in hybrids or mild hybrids by 2030. This should protect the value of the car going forward. The Specifications and pricing will only be announced closer to the South African launch date.
