Alfa Romeo has reopened orders for its flagship Quadrifoglio models, the Giulia and Stelvio, in South Africa, extending production through 2027 to meet demand from enthusiasts. The Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio continues to represent the brand’s highest-performance DNA, combining 520hp V6 engines with racing-inspired design and lightweight construction.

520hp Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio V6
Both models are powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 producing 520hp (375kW) and 600?Nm of torque. Power delivery is managed through a mechanical limited-slip differential to optimise traction and cornering performance.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio is rear-wheel drive, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio uses Alfa Romeo’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system. Both combine performance with lightweight construction: aluminium is used extensively in the engine and suspension components, while carbon fibre reinforces the transmission shaft, bonnet, aerodynamic elements and interior panels.
The Giulia also features an active carbon-fibre front splitter that dynamically adjusts airflow under the car to enhance high-speed stability. A bespoke Akrapovi? exhaust system completes the package, producing the signature Alfa Romeo engine note.
Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Driving Dynamics and Performance
Alfa Romeo claims the Giulia Quadrifoglio accelerates from 0–100?km/h in 3.9?seconds, with the Stelvio Quadrifoglio reaching the same benchmark in 4.3?seconds. Top speeds are 307?km/h for the Giulia and 283?km/h for the Stelvio.
Both models feature double-wishbone front suspension and rear multilink setups tuned for precise handling, with optional Alfa Romeo Performance Pack upgrades that include stiffer springs, recalibrated dampers and active aerodynamics for track use.
Braking duties are handled by standard 380?mm front and 330?mm rear ventilated discs with Brembo calipers. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes increase stopping power to 400?mm front and 360?mm rear, reducing the 100–0?km/h braking distance to approximately 32?metres.

The Quadrifoglio’s legendary four-leaf clover badge dates to 1923, when Ugo Sivocci won the Targa Florio in an Alfa Romeo RL. Since then, the emblem has been reserved for the brand’s most extreme road and track-focused models.
Design highlights include 19?inch five-hole alloy wheels on the Giulia and 21?inch wheels on the Stelvio, anodised grey brake calipers, carbon-fibre rear spoilers, and “Racing Sparco” seats in leather and Alcantara. Exterior colour options include Rosso Etna, Verde Montreal, Blu Misano, Grigio Vesuvio, Nero Vulcano and Rosso Alfa.
