BMW South Africa has launched the latest generation of the sporty two-door 4 series. Available in three models, the rear wheel drive 420i and 420d are both
offered as a standard base option or the M Sport package. The M440i xDrive is offered as an M Performance vehicle. BMW continues with the new enlarged prominent kidney grille in the 4 series which also assists the engines high cooling air requirements. Slim contour LED headlamps complete the front end and stylish darkened LED rear lights with eye-catching L-shaped elegance complement the coupe’ proportions. The sculptured shoulders and flowing roofline exude athleticism and sporting elegance.
The new interior design is centred on a sporty driving experience with driver focused cockpit design. Sports leather steering wheel and newly developed sports front seats and two seats in the rear with defined individual-seat character. Climate control, tilting/sliding glass roof with transparent surface, ambient lighting with welcome light carpet and HiFi loudspeaker system are all standard features.
As you would expect from a car in this class many driver assisted systems are included. Front collision warning with brake input and lane Departure Warning. Speed Limit Info, Steering and lane control assist with new Active Navigation. Park Distance control with front and rear sensors, and optional Parking Assist including reversing assist. 3D Top View and remote 3D View. BMW Drive Recorder creates video up to 40 seconds in length of the car’s surrounds. Standard smart phone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
