Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has launched its most stylish Pajero Sport to date, expanding the model range by three new derivatives and adding the new Pajero Sport Exceed. The “Exceed” will command the top spot in the range offering more luxury and extra style to turn heads. One of the most outstanding visual features of the new Pajero Sport is its new Dynamic Shield front grille projecting an enhanced more stylish and modern look which will now be the new face of the Mitsubishi brand going forward. This includes LED headlamps, daytime running lights, and fog lamps set in the new solid and robust front grille. From the rear the upgraded design combines thicker bumpers with a rear diffuser to highlight the Pajero Sport’s stable stance on the road. LED rear combination lamps and park distance control and rear spoiler are standard.

All models are powered by the 2.4L MIVEC Turbodiesel four-cylinder 4×2 or 4×4. Generating 133kW and 430 Nm of torque driving the wheels through Mitsubishi’s advanced 8 speed automatic transmission. The new Pajero is definitely a safe quality built machine and also a very capable off-road vehicle. Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD-II system delivers performance in the most challenging driving conditions and rugged terrain. Selectable off-road modes maximise traction on various surfaces, Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand or Rock. (settings can be activated to suit the condition). 30-degree approach angle and 24-degree departure angle, the best in its class, will allow drivers to challenge tough obstacles and get back down safely.

The “Exceed” model adds Power Tilt and sliding roof, remote control Connectivity and electronic Tailgate with Dual Kick sensors. White Diamond and Graphite Grey have been added to the colour palette and the normal 3-year/100 000km manufacturers warranty and 5-year/90 000km service plan is still on offer. (service intervals of 10 000kms) Its important to bear in mind when considering purchasing this vehicle that the Mitsubishi Pajero was first launched almost 38 year ago making it a true legend.
