Suzuki has rationalised the Ertiga model line-up with added specifications, adding ESP as standard across the range.

The luxury Ertiga GLX-range has been discontinued leaving three models, the GA and GL five-speed manual and the GL four-speed automatic transmission. All with Suzuki’s frugal 1.5 litre petrol engine that delivers 77 kW and 138 Nm of torque. The long wheel-base of 2 740mm remains unchanged providing the seven seat configuration.

The GA- Budget Leader: This remains the entry level variant but now has Electronic Stability Programme and rear parking sensors. Standard features are two airbags, ABS brakes, Brake Assist, electric windows, power steering, central locking, halogen headlamps and 12V charging socket.

The GL- Luxury champion: After dropping the GLX, the GL now is available in manual or automatic and receives some the GLX luxuries. These include 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome detailing on front grille, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors. Inside the radio has been upgraded to a full-colour 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with integration for Apple and Android phones. Reverse camera and multifunctional steering wheel with Bluetooth controls for hands free dialling. Another new addition is cruise control with buttons easily at hand on the steering wheel.

Further luxury has been included with centre armrest and storage box, 50:50 split rearmost bench, extra 12 volt charging socket for rear passengers.

As standard the Ertiga is sold with Suzuki’s promotional 200 000km/five year mechanical warranty and a four-year/60 000km service plan. Ends
