The compact sport utility vehicle segment (C-SUV) has had an unrivalled leader in South Africa since its launch, the Ford EcoSport. To ensure this model holds its number one position Ford have now introduced the limited edition EcoSport Black.
As the name would suggest, the popular Ambiente 1.5 Auto has been used as the base model and given many enhancements in black to create the new limited edition. The EcoSport has always been a familiar face on South African roads and the new Black model will be easily recognisable first by the front grill and skid plate finished in black and secondly by the black bold decal insert on the upper section of the hood that matches the painted black roof. Integrated black roof rails, black side decals and mirror caps and black wheel cover on the rear complete the body look and add both a sporty flair and practicality. Black is again used on the 16– inch alloy wheels replacing the 15– inch steel rims on the Ambiente.
Available in a selection of 5 colours that are designed to amplify the exclusive black detailing, comprising Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Smoke, Blue Lightning and Canyon Red. The tried and tested 1.5 -litre three-cylinder petrol engine delivers 91 kW of power and 151 Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed auto gearbox which performs equally in city driving and on the open road.
