Ford Everest Range Expanded(2020)Spec & Pricing

The Ford Motor Company of South Africa has bolstered its Everest seven-seater sports utility vehicle line up with the addition of a new XLT 4×4 derivative powered by the impressive and frugal 2.0-litre Single Turbo engine combined with Fords advanced 10-speed automatic transmission.

This new derivative slots into the range perfectly just above the XLT 4×2. Equipped with a 2.0 Single Turbo diesel engine producing 132 kW of power and 420Nm of torque available from 1 750 to 2 500 r/min – with up to 340Nm available from as low as 1 250 r/min. The 10-speed trend-setting automatic transmission features electronic control system with rear time adaptive shift-scheduling, engineered to help select the correct gear at the right time. Incorporating Progressive Range Select (PRS) which gives the driver the ability to lock out gears from the automatic shifting range providing greater control in slippery conditions when towing or climbing steep gradients.

The Everest relies on a permanent four-wheel drive system that ensure optimal grip. A Terrain Management System allows the driver to select various driving modes such as Normal, Rock Crawl, Mud and Sand.
