Mercedes Benz V-Class V 300d now available in South Africa

Introducing the all new MB V-Class. Its been five years since the V-Class was last updated and launched into the South African market. Since then the V-Class has exceeded sales targets not only in SA but also globally making this multi-purpose vehicle a success story. Mercedes Benz has now introduced the all new V-Class 300d into this already successful segment and intends selling this model to both families for leisure activities and business customers for work purposes.

Equipped with a four-cylinder OM 654 engine, with a 2.0-litre displacement and boasting 176kW of power and 500Nm of torque, making it the new top performer in this segment. When accelerating the V 300d can deliver an additional 30Nm of torque over and above the 500Nm. Accelerating from 0 to 100 in 7.9 seconds reaching a top speed of 220 km/hr. 9 G TRONIC automatic transmission is also available for the first time in the V-Class range and is standard in the new V 300d. The driver can switch between “Comfort” and “Sport” drive programs and customises the gear shifting characteristics. Steering wheel paddles can also be used in manual mode.

Interior package is available in both the well-known AVANTGARDE and AMG finishes. The EXCLUSIVE line enjoys a panoramic sunroof, rear climatised seats and centre console with built-in drinks cooler as standard. A night package is also available exclusively for the V-300d including black exterior mirrors, black anodised beltline trim and AMG front bumper with black trim. The seven-seat configuration has adjustable individual leather seats in the rear and depending on the need the seating can be customised to 6 or 8. Standard black leather or Tartufo Brown leather can be selected by the buyer at no extra cost.

A 10.25-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and MB hard Disk navigation. The standard Burmester sound system is also included in the new V-300d, with the 16 speaker surround sound system bringing impressive sound to every seat in the V-Class.
