The versatile best-selling Volkswagen Caddy line-up has been updated and will be available to South African buyers from February 2022. The Caddy was first launched overseas in 1979 and since then three million have been built and sold. In the local SA market the Caddy was introduced in 1992 and has sold over 35 000 units.
The major success of this range is attributed to the wide model line-up providing a version for every buyer’s needs, private, business or leisure. The new 5th generation is offered in Caddy, Caddy Maxi, Caddy Kombi, Caddy Maxi Kombi, Caddy Cargo and Caddy Maxi Cargo.
Upgrades to exterior include new LED headlights and rear lights, painted body-coloured bumpers, and black roof rails. Available in 12 exterior colours with five colours being new to the range. If you require more features you can include panoramic sunroof with large glass area of 1.4m2, a removable tow-bar, and 16 inch Wien alloy wheels all as Optional extras. Inside you will find more space with the Maxi Cargo providing room for up to 2 Euro pallets.
Driving assist has been introduced along with cruise control, Park Assist, Rear-view camera and Trailer Manoeuvring. Two engine choices are available the 1,6i providing 81kW and the 2.0 TDi also at 81kW.

Caddy and Caddy Maxi passenger derivatives come standard with a 3-year/120 000km warranty while the Kombi, Maxi Kombi, Cargo and Maxi Cargo come with a 2-year/unlimited km warranty. All models are covered with the 12-year anti corrosion warranty. Service interval is 15 000 km.
