The South African market will soon be offered the new Red Edition upgrade to the Magnite range. The Red Edition will mainly be additional red accents on the exterior and interior along with a few more features.
Let us start with the outside, red accents are tactfully placed to enhance the distinctive curves and edges. Sporty red brake calipers, exclusive badges, graphics, and chrome garnish on the tail door are all extra accents.
Inside the ergonomic cockpit is amplified by stylish red accents, a red-themed dashboard and LED scuff plates. As a new feature motorists can now enjoy wireless charging which comes standard across the range. The updated version will be available in two base colours, Onyx Black, and Storm White.
Since launch the new Magnite has been in demand from crossover buyers looking for something different and Nissan believes the Red Edition will attract the young, tech-savvy aspirational customers. Using the same 1.0-litre turbocharge powerplant coupled with either the CVT or manual gearboxes, the Red Edition will continue to offer fast, efficient and a smoothy driving experience.
As fuel prices continue to be a consideration when purchasing a new car most buyers want more kilometres for their buck. The Magnite’s three cylinder engine is as frugal as it is powerful with an average fuel consumption of only 5,27l/100km on the manual variant and 6.0 on the automatic models.
Many driver aids are included in the extensive range with intuitive systems like ABS, EBD, Traction Control, Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Start Assist, Decent Control and Cruise Control. 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system offers connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The plan is to introduce 600 units of the Magnite Red Edition and should be available in South Africa from 3rd November 2022 with retail prices starting from R298 300
